Dr. Arunaditya Sahay

Prof. A. Sahay, Dean (Research), Birla Institute of Technology Management. 

He has started his career as a lecturer in National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. However, early in his career he switched over to industry where he served in a number of industries in both public and private sectors working his way up to the post of the Chairman-cum-Managing Director. In the process he handled Business Development, R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, HRD, and Sustainability functions. In the industry and government, he was popular known as Turnaround Manger. During his illustrious career in industry, he created many new products and got four patents to his credit. Leading business schools have written cases on the company he led; these cases are used in teaching strategy and leadership courses. Changing over to academics, he has himself written many cases those are published by Ivey Publishing House and adopted by Harvard Business Press besides publishing over 115 papers, some of which have been published in ’A’ category journals. He is serving on Boards of many companies, universities and academic institutions. His present research interests are Corporate Strategy, Business Strategy & Business Models, Turnaround Strategies, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Corporate Governance and CSR & Sustainability Management.
